Take bus 74 from Utrecht Central towards Hoef en Haag and get off at the Waterlelie stop. From there, it's about a 7-minute walk to the family day location.

family day: saturday July 4, 2026

 Our yearly Family Day will take place on Saturday, July 4th, 2026. The location is once again Korfbalvereniging Koveni in Nieuwegein, where we will enjoy fun activities, football, good food and most of all good fellowship! There is a separate program for children, and this year also for the little ones (3-7 years) and seniors (65+).

On this page, you will find all the information you need.
Registration is required so that we know how many people we need to provide food and drinks for. Therefore, please sign up no later than Sunday, June 28, at the church or via email. You can read below how to register and what the costs are.

how to sign up

We need you to sign up so that we know how much food to prepare! Please sign up no later than Sunday, June 28.
There are two ways to register:

• You can register and pay at the Center Point in church after the service. You can pay cash or with PIN or via QR-code (bank app)
  
• or use the online registration form. You will receive an e-mail in reply with payment instructions.
  

program

• We will start the day at 9.30 a.m. with coffee/tea and sweets.
  
• At 10.00 a.m. we will open the fellowship and will get started on the activities.
  
• Around noon there's lunch, followed by more activities.
  
• In the course of the afternoon we will light up the barbecue and finish the day off with a barbecue dinner.
  

You are free to join the activities or take a seat and cheer on others, whichever you prefer.

Football

There is also a mini football tournament and there are football clinics for the age categories 8-10, 11-13, and 13-15. Children can register separately for these. Do you want to participate? Then sign up for football using a yellow card at CenterPoint. Or let us know via [email protected].

locatiON

• We are using the club house and fields of korfbalvereniging Koveni in Vreeswijk (Nieuwegein). This is the same as last year's location.
  
• The address is Helmkruid 7 in Nieuwegein. There is lots of free parking available.
• Koveni is easy to reach by public transport: the tram stops next to the parking lot at the stop named 'Wiersdijk'. When you take the tram from Utrecht towards Nieuwegein-zuid, it will be the next to the last exit.
• You can also take bus 74. Get off at the stop named 'Waterlelie'. From there it is about a 7 minute walk.

Special programs

For the children up to age 7 we will have a special program. They will have sports and games depending on their age. If the weather is nice enough, we will have water games. In that case, please remember to bring extra clothes and sunscreen. There is space in the clubhouse for feeding and changing.
There's also a special program for the senior members of LifeWord. The activities will be geared towards the age group and a more quiet area will be provided to sit and fellowship.
